Paul is a cradle Catholic and is the oldest of five children. Paul credits his father, who is a Deacon, with guiding him in his Christian discipleship. Paul has entertained the idea of becoming a priest since he was five years old. Paul attended both Catholic and public schools. During his teenage years, the priest at his parish served as a strong influence and later became his spiritual director. Paul attended Benedictine Military Academy in Savannah at the suggestion of his grandparents. This is where Paul learned to love the spiritual life of the Church. At first, Paul thought of becoming a Benedictine Monk, but is now discerning the diocesan priesthood. Paul wants to keep his heart and mind open to the Will of God in his life.
